Ivy and Bellas kennel

This is where each dog stays. Tundra's kennel is at the front at the left.

Tundra sat here, just staring around and observing her surroundings.

Bella patted Tundra's head. "Welcome to the kennel! This is your little kennel here." She pointed at the kennel that was out the front. "It has a door to the back garden where you can play."


Striker walked out of his kennel. He sat down and looked over at Tundra. A new dog hey? Well, Striker, introduce yourself. He stood up and walked over to Tundra. "Hello, I'm Striker, a lead dog for Ivy. Whats your name?"

"I'm Tundra. I'm Bella's new dog." She said with a small dip of her head.

Striker smiled. "Well, welcome to our kennels." He looked over his shoulder at the other dogs. "What part of the sled team are you?"

"Sled team?" She asked. She had heard the phrase but never truly understood it.

Striker nodded. "Follow me!" He raced out to the end of the kennel where two sleds stood. "A sled team is a group of eight dogs that pull a sled. I stand at the front. There are two wheel dogs and four lead dogs. There is also two lead dogs. We pull the sled to win races. My favourite thing to race with is snow. Snow helps me grip to the ground."

Tundra nodded. "I see. So it's a racing team? With dogs?"

Striker nodded. "It is! Each dog must pull their own weight in a sled dog team."

Tundra smiled and imagined herself at the front of a sled team, barking out orders. But something about that didn't seem right. She didn't want to be the lead dog.
